TURNING JAPANESE I THINK I’M TURNING JAPANESE I REALLY THINK SO
Kylie Bumcheeks top the Fantasy league table after this weekend’s fixtures, after a goal from born-again Japanese star Junichi Inamoto sealed a 4-1 victory over former table toppers Nil Satis. Kylie head off 2 other teams with 9 points on goal difference only, namely Nil Satis and Boston Rock FC, who beat Mega Buck Bandits 4-2 despite a late flourish from the Bandits to make it 3 wins from 3 for the “Sky Heroes”.
Worryingly for the rest, champions Aardvark Abacus now sit in 4th place with an impressive 14 goals scored after 4 games. Their 4-1 victory over quick-starting Elland Road Big Boys came courtesy of a double from debutant Milan Baros, and a deflected Anelka goal. Other fancied runners Trusted By Millions slipped up badly, however, losing 3-1 to Viola’s Pier thanks to goals from Brevett, Purse and Horsfield. Just goes to show you don’t need a team of superstars to get results. Viola’s first win earns them the POTW hundred grand; well done Steve.
Elsewhere Prettier Than You are stranded at the bottom with nul points; Rachel’s first goals of the campaign weren’t enough to beat a slick San Dimas team, Peej’s equipe coming out 3-2 winners. Never mind Rach, Newcastle have started slowly as well…
TRANSFER NEWS
A bit of movement involving the most important position on the pitch. I’m sure Peej, Julian and Deano will back me up on this one! (Hey, a quarter of the WSFFL managership are goalies! Freaky!)

THE FF£100,000 QUESTION
Clive might have a head-start on most of you, being a big fan of this man…
Wizzard frontman Roy Wood is a devotee of which Premiership Club?
One guess per person to me  by close of play on Saturday 21 September 2002.
Bobby and Jack, the Charltons, grew up in Beatrice Terrace, Ashington, Northumberland. This was actually a better question when I was labouring under the misapprehension that they grew up in Beatrice Street, as I thought I could catch out any of you guys who thought I meant Beatrice Street, Swindon. Well bah humbug to that.
Correct guesses from Clive, Beef, Dean and Peej, and the £300,000 goes to Beef. A wrong guess from Ryan, who went for the Holdsworth brothers – slightly less famous, I’m sure you’ll agree!
SHORTS
A message from recat king Peej, held over from last week; If anybody wants to know where their players are playing (i.e. if they’ve played out of position and how many games they have until they’re recategorised) they can contact him onand he can let you know. I guess the same would apply if there are any pool players which managers have their eye on with a view to imminent recategorisation, OK Peej?…Boston Rock have put Francis Jeffers up for sale. A £6 million bid or a decent international defender in exchange secures the services of Arsene’s so-called “fox in the box”. Ok, £5, a scotch egg and a bottle of Blue WKD then…
