Thanks to all who made it to a very successful and fun WSFFL Social Evening, round our gaffe last night. Much food was consumed, dirty tackles made (not all of them in the B’rum-Villa game!), and bids made and outbidded in a seemingly carefree and ridiculous manner (the amount paid for 2 Derby rejects had to be seen to be believed!). A full list of transfer deals struck is overleaf.

LIKE A RUBBER BALL I’LL COME BOUNCING BACK TO YOU
Well, Boston Rock manager Sheriff demanded a reaction from his team to the 7-1 pasting by Nil Satis last weekend, and he got it in the top game of this weekend, as Boston Rock bounced back with a hard-fought 3-2 win over in-form Claymore Athletic FC. Goals from Dunn, Jeffers and a first from promising youngster Glen Johnson sealed victory for the “Sky Heroes”. This result keeps Boston Rock in 3rd, however, as both Kylie Bumcheeks and Aardvark Abacus also won this weekend. Kylie squeaked a 1-0 win over battling York’s thanks to a Beattie goal, whereas Aardvark crushed San Dimas 5-1.
Also hitting the goal trail was Trusted, whose 6-0 win over out-of-sorts Short Straw moves them into 4th, albeit a daunting 11 points behind 3rd placed Boston Rock. Trusted narrowly missed out on POTW; this went to Viola’s Pier, who posted a rare 3-1 win over an embarrassed Groove Machine. Well done Steve; £100,000 is added to your bank balance.
And the WSFFL FA Cup Final combatants are decided; thanks to their respective goal gluts this weekend, Aardvark Abacus and Trusted By Millions will contest the showcase final on the weekend of 26 April 2003. Congratulations to both Ady and Beef for making it so far.
