Please note that there won’t be another newsletter for about 3 weeks. This is because the next WSFFL fixtures are the Paul Cartmell Memorial Cup Quarter Finals this weekend, and I can’t be bothered to do a newsletter just for those four games, although I will of course e-mail out the results. Then there’s a week off before the next League fixtures on 22 November. Expect a newsletter after then, covering both that weekend’s League fixtures and the PCMT Quarter Finals. OK?
LOOK FROM THE BOTTOM TO THE TOP
Again we start a weekend round-up with good news for Elland Road Big Boys. This weekend’s classic “top vs. bottom” game against Kylie Bumcheeks ended in a fine win for the Big Boys, with misfiring striker Robbie Fowler and big money signing Gaizka Mendieta amongst the goals for Deano. Needless to say, this gives our Antipodean colleague his second well-deserved POTW £100,000. Well done Deano!
This result not only lifts Dean off the bottom, thanks to Real Muppets’ 5-2 thrashing by San Dimas – the Muppets taking over as the basement team – but also knocks the Bumcheeks off top slot. This is now taken over by none other than Claymore Athletic FC, who beat off-colour Trusted by Millions 2-1 with 2 Henry strikes, Clive not changing his team midway through the weekend for once! Kylie stay second but are now only one point ahead of San Dimas in 3rd, following the High School’s crushing of the Muppets. Aardvark slip to 4th following a rare reverse at the hands of Nil Satis Nisi Optimum, whilst Final Fantasy XI join them on 16 points following a 3-1 win over Boston Rock FC, another team who have yet to show their true form this season. They’d better hurry up and do so…

FC Toompea’s Juhan Parts is the Estonian Prime Minister, and apparently a right winger in politics as well as football. I’d like to see Tony Blair turn out for a Premiership team and get a good kicking from Seth Johnson or someone. No, really I would.
I received correct guesses from Clive, Dean, Dave and Ceri. This time the dinosaur dice bounced on “Ankylosaurus”, which meant that a second helping of £100,000 this week is winging its’ way down under to swell the coffers of the Big Boys. Well done again Dean!
