YOU KNOW YOU MAKE ME BREAKOUT
A splendid weekend for Claymore Athletic FC: they beat one of their title rivals, Trusted by Millions, in a hard-fought game, whilst all their other title rivals either draw or lose! By virtue of their 1-0 win, supplied by wunderkind Wayne Rooney, and no other title aspirant getting a win this weekend, Clive is now really breaking away at the top, 7 points clear with a mere 6 games to play, and must surely be contemplating his first ever League Title.
So, what happened to the chasing pack? Well, a vacationing Ady saw his team draw a total blank and therefore lose 1-0 to Nil Satis, a John O’Shea goal not only gaining the win but also the POTW £100,000 for Paul, so well done to him. In a weekend dominated by draws, 3rd placed San Dimas were held 3-3 by Real Muppets, and the Groove Machine were held 2-2 by Mega Buck Bandits but nevertheless go back above Elland Road into 4th in the only positional change this week. The Big Boys themselves lost to a rampant Kylie Bumcheeks, Rich Smith celebrating his stag week in style with a 4-2 win due to two braces from Sami Hyypia and Alan Shearer.
A couple more mid table games were decided by draws; 10th placed Fred West and 11th placed Thommo’s Titans drew 2-2, as did 7th placed Boston Rock and 8th placed Final Fantasy. Although I’m still convinced Alan Smith got the merest of touches off his spiky blond locks, to that Stephen McPhail cross-shot…
At the bottom, York’s Returning Glory defy their recent form and sneak a 1-0 win over Prettier Than You thanks to a Clinton Morrison goal. This result, and Nil Satis’ win over the Abacus, leaves Rachel 4 points adrift again at the bottom. And things seemed to be picking up for PTY as well…

THE FF£100,000 QUESTION
Which WSFFL Fantasy League team provided the entire starting back four, for one of England’s Euro 2004 Qualifying Fixtures?
I know the manager in question can’t have a guess this week, but hey, I can’t have a guess any week. But anyway, if no-one gets this question right, I’ll give the £100,000 to the manager in question instead!
Guesses by close of play on Saturday 27 March 2004. First correct one out of the hat after that date gets the dosh.
Well, I hit serious problems after setting last week’s question. I’d heard on the TV build-up before the Carling Cup Final that the electricity bill for closing the roof of the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff is a mere £4.00. However, it actually states on the Stadium Website itself that it costs £2.54 to open or close the roof. So I’ve decided to give cash to the first smartarse who pointed this out to me, as well as to the nearest guesser to my original £4.00 answer (to keep within the spirit of my original intent in setting this question).
So step forward Mr. Watts (the first £2.54 smartarse), as well as my nearest guesser Pete, who guessed £4.20. As a result, Elland Road Big Boys and Thommo’s Titans get £100,000 this week.
Clive, Ryan and Ceri also looked up the Website and got the £2.54 answer, but weren’t as quick as Deano to point this out to me!
