HELLO HELLO, WELL I MAN A PLACE CALLED VERTIGO
You Know Your Boston Rock FC stretch their lead at the top to a season-high 7 points this weekend, after they scrapped out a tight 1-0 win against a resilient Yorks Returning Glory, Robert Pires scoring the winner. Hey, I’m so far ahead I’m feeling dizzy! Boston Rock’s lead was increased due to both nearest pursuers dropping points; 2nd placed Claymore Athletic FC requiring a late Mellberg equaliser to draw 3-3 with Kylie Bumcheeks, and 3rd placed Aardvark Abacus also drawing, 2-2 with Thommo’s Titans, for whom Shaun Wright-Phillips scored in a sparkling display.
Fred West consolidated their 4th position with a 3-0 win over Nil Satis, Ryan Giggs making a welcome return to the scoresheet for Fred. Final Fantasy move up to 5th after winning the girly pillowfight 2-1 against Prettier Than You, Damien Francis bagging a brace for Ceri. And might the wheels be coming off the Groove Machine after their recent fine run? San Dimas High School beat Rich’s previously in-form team 3-2 to move above them in the league and win the POTW £100,000 in the process. Well done Peej!
At the bottom, Mega Buck Bandits climb out of the basement slot after a dour 0-0 draw with Real Muppets. Nil Satis, losers to Fred West, assume the position.
The PCMT Semi-Finals produced one result – San Dimas High School reinforced their POTW form by knocking out Claymore Athletic 1-0 to reach the final, Antoine Sibierski getting the winner. The High School still await their opponents in the final, as Boston Rock and the Groove Machine drew their semi 2-2; they replay this weekend, doubling up with their league fixtures.

THE FF£100,000 QUESTION
Cricketing legend W G Grace once applied for the manager’s job at which current Premiership team?
Answers to me by close of play Saturday 27 November 2004. As usual, first correct one out of the metaphorical hat gets the dosh.
Tom Hanks has a hankering for Aston Villa. Can’t imagine why.
I got only correct answer, from Ceri, so Final Fantasy XI get the £100,000. Well done Ceri.
A wrong guess, but a nice one nevertheless, from Beef, who went for Nottingham Forrest Gump!
