SAVE US FROM THE BALL AND CHAIN
Mega Buck Bandits climbed off the bottom of the table following a 0-0 draw with the old “ball and chain”, namely Dave’s wife Ceri’s team Final Fantasy XI, in the Westmorland Road derby. MBB climb above Nil Satis again, as Paul was beaten 5-0 by the resurgent Dead Parrots, with Kevin Davies whacking two in. Dean’s team are now up into 5th place, amazing given that they were dead last only a month ago!
In a weekend where goals flew in left, right and centre, the top four teams all won big. You Know Your Boston Rock FC beat the Groove Machine for the second time in 2 weeks, this time going nap on The Groovers, with a rare (this season, anyway) Harry Kewell goal featuring in a 5-0 win. Claymore also went nap, Henry scoring twice in a 5-2 win over Thommo’s Titans, whilst 2nd placed Aardvark Abacus went one better, thrashing Kylie 6-0, with 6 different scorers for the Abacus. Fred West could only manage the 4, in their 4-1 win over Trusted by Millions. Never mind Fred, you’re still third! Boston Rock still head the table by 8 points, but only 2 points separate the 3 pursuers, whilst the Parrots are a further 7 points back off 4th placed Claymore.
Back near the bottom, Prettier Than You fall to 14th place after a late Mark Viduka double secured a 3-2 win for Real Muppets, despite Dean Keily’s “goal” from his penalty save. And Yorks Returning Glory scored a fine 3-1 win over San Dimas High School to leap from 13th to 11th, and win their second POTW £100,000 in succession. Well done Jools!

THE FF£100,000 QUESTION
This is a good one, highlighting for me the complete and utter stupidity of footballers!
On a recent night out in Bournemouth, Kylie Bumcheeks and Southampton striker James Beattie was involved in a bar altercation, and reportedly put his head in what?
Answers to by close of play Saturday 11 December 2004. First correct answer out of the metaphorical hat wins the dosh.
The Charlton speedway petrolhead, from Ceri’s guest question last week, is in fact Graham Stuart.
There were 6 correct answers, from myself, Dean, MC, Clive, Peej and Ryan. Ady rolled a dice (quite handy for 6 answers!) and Ryan’s number came up, so Real Muppets win the £200,000 rollover bonus. Well done Ryan, and thanks to Ceri for setting the question.
