Leaders Aardvark Abacus were knocked off their top perch this weekend, after Ady was beaten 3-2 by his own sister in law Ceri’s Final Fantasy XI team. Goals from Nolan, Campo, and Berger secured the win and a deserved POTW £100,000 for Ceri, so well done to her.
Aardvark slip to an unfamiliar 4th position in the table as a result, with Champions Kylie Bumcheeks taking over at the top, thanks to a jammy 1-0 win over Mega Bucks, a late Chris Perry goal breaking the deadlock. San Dimas go second, their impressive run continuing after they opened a right royal can of finest grade whoop-ass over Trusted By Millions, 5-0 the score in that one. Trusted slide from 4th to 11th as a result, proving how tight that mid-table was, and still is! The new master of the “Bevan Dodge”, Clive Fenwick, sees his team go 3rd after he used it yet again in a 3-0 win over the Muppets, Clive once again eschewing his morals and using his “star man” (his words, not mine) Mika Aaritalo, to get himself a Crespo substitute goal. Tut tut, Clive-lad!
At the other end, Prettier Than You finally win another game, as Thommo’s Titans fall 3-2 to Rachel’s rabble of rowdy rebels, Shola Ameobi and a rare Roy Keane effort amongst the goals for Rachel. However, hapless Elland road are still seeking their first win – another reverse, this time against the Groove Machine, leaves them beached in last place, already 3 points adrift of the Muppets.
