Kylie Bumcheeks finally open up some distance at the top of the table this weekend, thanks to a 3-0 cruise over York’s Returning Glory, with Yorks even chipping in with an OG for Kylie. Rich team finally have daylight at the top, after Boston Rock’s fine recent run was halted by goals from Clive’s M & Ms, namely Malbranque and Mellberg, who completed a sweet 2-1 win for Claymore Athletic, and earned them the POTW hundred grand. Well done Clive, says your ever magnanimous co-ordinator.
Aardvark Abacus and Elland Road both therefore move to within 2 points of the “Sky Heroes”, Aardvark with a 3-1 win over San Dimas High School, who right now are frankly stinking the place out with their poor form. Is that better, Peej? Elland Road put a stop to Prettier Than You’s recent revival with a crushing 4-0 win, a brace from Graeme le Saux the highlight for Dean’s men. However, Trusted By Millions fail to close ground on the leaders, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Short Straw Rovers.
Elsewhere, The Groove Machine slip into a higher gear with a 4-0 win over rock bottom Viola’s Pier, Rich obviously reasoning that his ground move might pay dividends. Mega Buck scored an impressive 1-0 win over Fred West, Brett Ormerod on the scoresheet again for the Bandits. And Everton’s clean sheet fittingly ensured Nil Satis a point this weekend, with Wright, Yobo and Hibbert Paul’s 3 scorers in their 3-3 draw with Real Muppets.
